ARTIST'S STATEMENT

Although my paintings cling to realism, they attempt to find a delicate balance between being truly present in a concrete reality and feeling the stillness of an undefined space within which no form exists. Through my exploration of the surface of things, I find myself in spaces which have no surface. To do justice to both is my intention.

I hope that my work provides a feeling of contemplative stillness as well as an enticement to see the everyday in a new light.
